its funny you found this , iwas watching this last night on you tube after somone on VODC had posted the artical about the launch of the cavalier mk3 .

Dose any one know if this senator is still on the road today or has it met the gates of vauxhall heaven Huh

£13.000 can you believe it , considering how much you can pick one up for today . Im always gob smaked when i hear the price of the carltons and senators when they were brand new . I mean i was 18/19 when my dippy was new and back then must have been around £14,000 out of the show room . I remember working part time at ford valeting sierra`s and granada`s in the show room , thinking i would love a azure or a cosworth . I was a for man back then and also like vauxhalls , but my local showroom was ford in cottesmore village .

I know its been years since anyone posted in this topic.....but £13k was absolute peanuts to what you could spend on a Senator B if your pockets were deep enough! Shocked Shocked Shocked

Must admit - when I was looking for an Omega, I WANTED an auto after driving my wife's around town and love the MV6 I bought - helluva car for pocket money.

It still is a Ford garage!  Grin

As for the Auto Vs Manual arguement. I've had 24v's in both format and, well I got a manual now. More drivability, but the auto is definately the most relaxing, effortless thing I've ever driven and make awesome tow cars to boot.

but if you were one for power and some nice driving, as appose to a cruise, then the manual no doubt is the option, well....thats my choice anyway, cud never have a auto... :/
