Here we are lads the reshell has begun my gsi has layed in my garage for over a year now till i found a Donner car.Found a 2.6cdx in the summer the cars had 3 owners from new and not much rot on it, got it for 50 notes the owner thought the diff had gone and just wanted shot of it,turned out a brake lining had come off and jammed the wheel,so here we go hoping to have her back on the road for the summer, still looking for a colour thinking about a dark purple pearl?

Purple pearl sounds good - tha darker the better, then the pearl will look awesome when the sun's out ! Cool Cool

Honda Pirate's Black is gorgeous - black till the sun's out, then it goes all purple. Cool Cool Cool

Good luck with it mate, can't wait to see it finished!

Be very intrested to see the progress of your motor mapblue.........judging by the one your breaking it should look real sweet!!!! especially in a real nice colour  Cool Cool Cool .... I think the lotus green is nice but a bit boring!!! Your rep doesnt look like its in need of a reshell though!!!!

The cat issue is no prob with a k plate  Grin Grin ;..... The change over year is June or July 1994.....I've had an L plate car passed without a cat....Which was an early '94 & was ok....
The tester checked up on it......So scrap the cats if you can.....Just slow you down!!!!!  Grin Grin Grin

Quick up date on the reshell ,thats all welding finished on the underside fuel tank painted and undersealed, new fuel pipes and brake pipes fitted underside painted and undersealed.

Back axle was stipped back cleaned then repainted fitted back in shell.

New brake discs and pads fitted, matting lowering springs and kyc gas shocks now in and back on her wheels.

Sits very low and hard kept standard springs just in case.

Here's some more pictures of my Carlton, got a lot more pictures to come will upload them i get some time.

Today has been milestone in this project had her fired up for the first time, got the engine all plumed in, fill with fluids, stuck in the dash switched her on all lights came on fuel pump primed up, thought what the hell ill give her a turn engine turned over twice and fired up brilliant.Sat there running a dream no leak's perfect was noise as hell with only the down pipes.

[/img]

As you can see all the welding now finished and undersealed

[/img]

[/img]

That's the engine bay painted and the engine and box in,progress should step up a bit know, next step is to fit the dash and get the gay diggi dash wired up. Grin
