I got my new CTS today so I set about checking it against the two others that I have; one from a 140,000m Diplomat and my original from my 80,000m Diplomat both 1992/3 models.
Using an accurate fine wire type 'K' thermocouple digital meter between 0 and 98 degrees C and graphing the output, I find that they produce curves which are virtually indistinguishable from each other

Between 0 & 10 degrees gives the worst variance of 4 degrees at 0 C and less than 1 degree variance between 10 to 98 degrees !
I don't believe that the 4 degree variance between 0 & 10 degrees is significant since the ECU will almost certainly be on full enrichment at those temperatures anyway !
The older sensors may reduce the enrichment marginally faster than the new one, but at a guess, only by 20- 30 seconds of driving off from cold !
