How would it be done and would you need the pipes from a lotus?

Thought about this for a long while.

I know Courtenay did a turbo conversion on the 12v - maybe you should look for some info on that...?

Yeah, didn't work for me either. Well in my eyes anyway the hardest bit would be lowering the compression ratio as these engines are seriously over square and have huge bores and I don't think a compression plate would last long. Lotus carlton exhaust manifold would sort out mounting the blowers, tee-off from the oil pressure switch for oil supply, drill and weld sump for oil return. Use original inlet with bigger injectors, intercooler across the front, fabricate boost pipework, fabricate downpipes, and I think megasquirt management would be the way to go. Then sit back and watch the clutch, box and diff self destruct! Any suggestions on pistons though anyone? I might pull one of the pistons out the spare block I've got and see if there's enough meat on the top to deck them a bit.

Just do what lotus did and do some basic machining work on the head to lower the compression. If you look on ebay enough there's a gsi with a twin turbo conversion which keeps popping up every now and then

Thanks, I'll look into that, and if anyone does a HG on their LC please take some piccys so I can see how much meat roughly I'll need (and can) munch off!

I've just had a gsi head converted to lotus spec due to mine being cracked. I've got to pick my head up from norfolk as I didn't trust anybody done here to do the work. When I pick it up I'll do some before and after piccys with the gsi head I have sat on my bench.
