You mean the one with the obscene V12?
Looks ace, incredibly shiny. Looks like standard body, looks good though.

Who added the picture of the pooey blue one which can't make up it's mind if it's a LC,Holden or a Scooby doo? SIts back and awiats beating with wet kipper More reliable than most Elsies though. And cheaper parts - more available too. Oh, and I don't mind giving it a bootful cos if I hit summat, it won't cost the earth to fix. It's a Vauxhall - or is it an Opel? Hell, I dunno........... It's got a blue coat - not a green one like all Elsies and most Elsie reps. Common as dogpoo! It's a 3litre, but was a 2 litre, it's got a Senator dash, Scooby paint, an Evo 6 spoiler, Citroen lecky fan and will soon be having Ford Cossie 4 pot front calipers. It's mine and that's all that matters......I care not if no-one else likes it. Keep yer kippers - I prefer trout, thanks awfully!

Just looking at the turquoise estate...
The door trims have been painted but not the chrome...How's that been done?
Is it possible to separate the chrome from the plastic and then put it back together? Or will it just have been masked off?

Whats wrong with the real thing? Sitting comfortably, guys? 1 - Initial price purchase - some people think they're worth as much as a gold mine..even the crap ones. 2 - Availability (or not) and prices of parts. 3 - The shitty front brakes. Racing brakes are usually striped and rebuilt after every race meeting. these are road cars! 4 - The unwillingness (I call it being anal) of some owners who insist that everything should be as it left Hethel - even if it means keeping the car off the road for years on end - tragic! I mean, how far do go with that train of thought? Oil, plugs, exhaust, odometer reading, yada yada yada.......... 5 - The fact that 99.9% of them are bloody green. 6 - The panel fit. 7 - The rust issues - or the Lotus shopfloor Norfolk turkeys that thought that waggling a tube and squirting some oil for ten seconds would stop the rust appearing behind the rear wheel arches. 8 - The fact that even a common shared part with any other Carlton is worth ten times as much cos it's got "Lotus" on the bag. 9 - The uninspiring dashboard - same as a 1.8 GL - not exactly screaming "Thoroughbred" to me, I'm afraid! 10 - Those bloody horrible Ronal wheels. I love the Lotus Carlton to bits, but would never have one, I'm afraid. Unless it was silver, sound and full service history and I could afford Willwood front brakes, a change of brake rotors and some nice wheels................... **EDIT** Dammit, I thought you meant the real Elsie....

Evo 500 - horrible (but I dare say effective over 100MPH) rear wing, garish interior with uncomfortable front seats, usually as expensive as the Elsie (unless you live in Northumbria) and I think a bit underpowered for it's looks. Nice steel bodywork and better colour than the Elsie.
