After attempt 1=21secs. 2=1.5mins. 3=5.5mins 4=22mins 5=1.5hrs. 6=6hrs 7=24hrs 8=indefinite

code entry is by the preset buttons 1,2,3 & 4
Press and hold the FM button, if the code has been activated 'SAFE' appears in the display; after another 3secs. it shows 1 _ _ _ _ ( the '1' indicates the number of attempts ) enter the code.
If the code hasn't been activated CODE appears followed by _ _ _ _ if so just switch off then back on.
