Fuse Box Survey of Relays/Control Units - OMEGA/CARLTON

A Relay holder in engine compartment in front of bulkhead, left
1 Relay, fuel injection system, black wiring harness plug up to MY '91; or relay, intake manifold heat control black wiring harness plug; or glow period relay - diesel engine MY '87 black wiring harness plug
2 Relay, compressor cut-off blue wiring harness plug; or fuse 30 A, intake manifold heat control black wiring harness plug; or fuse 10 A EID black wiring harness plug
3 Relay, control unit - EID green wiring harness plug; or relay, engine speed - 18 NV green wiring harness plug; or relay, compressor cut- off blue wiring harness plug
4 Relay, engine speed blue wiring harness plug; or surge arrestor relay - ABS red wiring harness plug (or Pos. A7)
5 Relay, fuel filter heater green wiring harness plug; or relay, headlamp wash system yellow wiring harness plug (or Pos- A8)
6 Relay, heavy duty cooling blue wiring harness plug; or relay, radiator fan blue wiring harness plug; or relay, radiator fan 2nd speed blue wiring harness plug; or relay, coolant pump blue wiring harness plug; or fuse 30 A, fuel filter heater green wiring harness plug (or Pos. A9)
7 Surge arrestor relay - ABS red wiring harness plug (or Pos. A4)
8 Relay, headlamp wash system yellow wiring harness plug (or Pos. A5)
9 Relay, radiator fan 1st speed blue wiring harness plug; or fuse 30 A, heavy duty cooling black wiring harness plug; or fuse 30 A, coolant pump black wiring harness plug, radiator fan or fuse 30 A fuel filter heater green wiring harness plug (or Pos. A6) 7/8 Fuse 30 A, air conditioning as of MY '92 Fuse 30 A, radiator fan as of MY '92

B Front side panel, lower right
1 Control unit, central door locking
2 Relay, fuel pump - as of MY '92
3 Control unit, Motronic or Ecotronic

C Right lower instrument panel bracket on LHD, left lower bracket on RHD
1 Control unit, electronic cruise control

D Right lower instrument panel bracket on RHD
1 Sensor for glow plugs
2 Control unit, downshift lock-out
3 Control unit, low beam

E Rear seat ramp
1 Rear seat heater relay
2 Sensor for vehicle level control

F Side panel, front lower left
1 Heated outside mirror time relay, only MY '87

G Left lower instrument panel bracket on LHD
1 Sensor for glow plugs
2 Warning buzzer for safety check (only with Gulf States equipment)
3 Relay for low beam (only with Sweden/Norway equipment)
4 Control unit for downshift lock-out

H Relay holder behind fuse box, bulkhead view
1 Fuse 10 A, horn (or Pos. H2, H3) red wiring harness plug
2 Relay, cruise control black wiring harness plug; or fuse 10 A, horn (or Pos. H1, H3) red wiring harness plug
3 Fuse 10 A, horn (or Pos. H1, H2) red wiring harness plug; or relay, starter (or Pos. H6) black wiring harness plug
4 Relay, rear screen wash/wipe interval, violet wiring harness plug, or relay, air conditioning fan 5th speed green wiring harness plug (or Pos. H6)
5 Relay, air conditioning green wiring harness plug
6 Relay, air conditioning fan 5th speed up to MY '88 green wiring harness plug (or Pos. H4) or relay, starter (or Pos. H3) black wiring harness plug
7 Relay, air conditioning fan 1st speed as of MY '88 blue wiring harness plug or relay, air conditioning compressor (only MY '87) blue wiring harness plug
8 Relay, fanfare (only MY '87) yellow wiring harness plug or relay, heated outside mirror and heated rear screen yellow wiring harness plug

1 Relay, heated rear screen, as of MY '88 Relay, fanfare
2 Relay, fog lamp
3 Relay, long range headlamp
4 Fuse puller
5 Relay, windscreen wash/wipe interval
6 Turn signal unit
7 Warning buzzer
8 Flat fuses 10 A, 20 A, 30 A

MY =Model Year (Obvious but someone was bound to ask)

With regards to B2, was this the fuel pump relay from MY '92 only and if so where was the fuel pump relay on models before this? Cheers.

With regards to B2, was this the fuel pump relay from MY '92 only and if so where was the fuel pump relay on models before this? Cheers.

Thanks for this,  but what's the ECU do that's under the NSF passenger seat?,

There's been one under there on at least two of my Carltons...
