I still get good mileage out of that, most people from Lincoln remember the accident as it happend at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon right outside the train station!!! Road was closed for 6 hours while they got a crane & 2 flatbed trucks to dislodge everything!!! Got suspended for 3 days, back to the training schoopl & an 18 month final written warning for it!!!!!!!

As an ex london bus driver myself, I can safely say you got off lightly! Not that it felt like it at the time I would imagine. I gave it up to go into IT though - now I sit in traffic jams on the information super-highway instead LOL

Ahhhhh. RoadCar. Part of the Yorkshire Traction Group i do believe. And before you think i'm an anorak, youd be wrong.
Once work for a sister company called Yorkshire Terrier, which is owned by the same Yorkie Traccy group. Absolutely hated it! Why i now run a family owned and run buisness.
Craig. You must have been damn close to that or did it jump out at you?
Wonder how many other ex busies are on here?.

Indeed it is, or was as this week the Yorkshire Traction group was sold to the dreaded Satgecoach!!!
I no longer work for RoadCar in any case, left earlier this year to work for small family run business. Much better m oney but more hassle too, at least i'm off work now till 3rd Jan!!!!
I was close to it, it used to stick out over the edge of the kerb by a few inches. I say used to because the new canopy doesn't! It must have been the one & only time i'd used that bus stop without any illegally parked cars nearby, hence me not using hardly any steering when leaving the stop. What makes it more funny is that i'd begged a regulator to let me have that particular bus for the rest of my shift (Atlanteans are shit loads better than ex TWM Metrobuses!). No-one was hurt, only had 3 passengers on, all were downstairs. I have a good laugh about it now!!!

just joined up today so thought i'd post to say hello Name: Clive Deacon Date of birth: 11/05/77 Sex: male Location: birmingham Ocupation: web designer / IT developer Love of ya life: car that i stupidly sold some six years ago.. if anyone ever finds a bright silver Manta coupe reg number C767 HET i want it back please Children: none Thing ya always remember(good): driving home after quitting my previous job.. i worked in worcester at the time so was driving back up the m5 having walked out on a crappy low paid job that wasn't challenging in the least to go to a higher pai job that was going to be really interesting & challenging.. was really odd, i was happy, nervous, worried and relieved at the same time.. i had to pull in at Frankley north services and i sat in the car park for half an hour trying to work out if i was doing the right thing Thing ya always remember(bad) : finishing Uni and realising that i couldn't avoid work / real life any longer.. i went on a three day drinking spree and woke up with the worst hangover i've ever had (one alc unit from blood poisoning) and breath that could sever an anchor chain Stupidist thing you ever did?: didn't take a chance at asking a girl out, have regretted it ever since.. last i saw she's married with two kids now Music: industrial, ebm, 80's, old style r&b (hooker, charles, fitzgerald, etc) bit of goth/new romantic.. current favourites are Alabama3 & The Cruxshadows... hate soulless modern pop music and what passes for r&b these days How do ya think your gonna die?: personally i'm hoping that the headlines will read something like "venerable 190 year old Baron Deacon was found dead this morning, early sources claim that he died of exhaustion after a marathon 4-day lovemaking session with his 6th wife, 20year old chellist.." What thing/person keeps you going?: myself, wanting bigger, more expensive toys Where do you think your be in 10 years time?: hopefully Canada, New Zeland or Japan Where do you wanna be?: right now, i'd like to be in the Zen rock garden in Kyoto (saw it on a program the other night, it's the one that has 15 rocks placed in it but you can only ever see 14 from any one point)
