I need 2 rear tyres 260/40/17...new or part worn for rear Lotus Carlton rims...I need them to get through mot...I don't do many miles so as cheap a tyre as I can find ( but no rubbish )

BTW Shanless, Lotus Carlton's and Lotus Omega's use 265 40 17's size of tyres on the rear mate. Have you tried looking on :-

Falken's in this size start at £108.30, Dunlop SP Sport Maxx cost £146.80 and Michelin's are the dearest at £217.70 each.

he must of meant 265 as there is no such width as a 260
Have you tried . www.partworntyres.co.uk ?? got s shed load!! might find some there, cheap too. hth Grin

I'm sorry but there's no way I'd stick part worns on my LC or any of my cars for that matter. I'd rather it sit in the garage until I could afford new. Each to their own though.

Agree with Mr. Winky - but to add that if you are gonna buy part worns, check the inside of the carcass.
If it's been run flat, sometimes the inside gets worn and you might look past the outside wear as you're looking at a part worn tyre, after all.
