On my old astra i did a Top Gear bodge, One of the wheels was abit unbalanced and i taped a 2p coin on the mark where the old weight used to be, and it worked!!!
But also when i used to work in tyres, RF was used to indicate that it was a Remould or repair on lorry tyres, and with the yellow X, it may indicate the position of the repair or simply marking the tyre as a whole. And no i dont think the 'RF' is abbrievating that its reinforced as they were rarely abb on Dunlops. No way is it a remould either, as it was made illegal to remould car tyres, repair only! (to a certain extent of the damage to the tyre)...... so in all.,.,.,.,., no fk'n clue..!... !!! LOL

I don't think you're looking at it properly, the discs appear to be nearly as big as the rim.

Well it looks like its going to rub like a beyatch even with the wide arches but then the track does appear wider than the car but then again it is an ex-BTCC car.
Think you're gonna have to spill 'em Ped.

You have to remember that I almost got down on all fours in a heavy crowd to get a picture of the split rim racing wheel and as such its not really a good angle Pete. Admittedly, the tyre does look pretty close to the blown out wider wheelarch but I can assure you (just look at the outside edge of the tyre to see its still intact after its 4th outing that day) that with the limited amount of steering lock available on that BTCC Cavalier, neither of these do make contact with each other mate. It also doesn't help but that offside front wing had been damaged slightly at some other point and that possibly makes things look worse. One thing that made me look twice is that AP fourpot brake caliper. It looks identical to whats fitted to LC's/LO's from what I could see!

We would never have put Dunlops on the Cavalier when it was wearing Yokohama stickers - well, maybe on tyre test days, but not for public view! Even when we had to cope with the famous "Yokohama Hop!" We might have filled Esso oil drums with Valvoline (I think it was, might have been Elf) ................. the BMW we later ran was sponsored by Esso, but BMW wouldn't touch the engines unless they had Valvoline in them and at £9k a rebuild back in '97, with three engines to look after, we couldn't take any chances. So it didn't do what it said on the tin!

ROTFLMAOPMSL!!! You got us all there Pete! I don't think those rules really apply when its a twenty year old ex-BTCC Cavalier that's in private hands mate. I for one use what is most cost effective for me at the time that the car needs some new rubber. My GSi DTM Rep has some Pirelli stickers on it but at the moment its only the two rear tyres that are actually Pirelli PZeros.... So far no-one's noticed the fronts are Falkens on my car.
