Nope, not mine.
That's Andreas's (think that's his name!) - the mentalist Scandanavian who, along with his mates, is trying to get a reliable 1000bhp from a Lotus Omega and he made this set up himself.
They are a bit stricter in Sweden when it comes to HID lighting, he had to either fit the projector lights ......... or go the whole hog and fit the sensors to the axles (like Omega B's and all factory cars with HID's), and auto adjusters in the headlight units themselves to allow it to ass the Swedish MOT test. fair play really, as you don't really wanna get blinded by an HID light!

It's OK and legal  to have HID Xenon burners in reflective (like Carlton) headlight unit, as long as you cannot see them with the naked eye (there's an arc-eye issue, which is bollox as the arc is behind glass), and the necessary sensors are fitted, to help cut out any glare......
OR
You can fit them  - quite happily - to projective headlight units (like Calibra and alot of new cars - as Andreas has done) and get away with it, as you cannot see the burner with the naked eye.

I have simply fitted HID's to mine (see the How To section) and my MOT guy has said that as there is a good and proper dip beam pattern, he can't fail it.

He might not be as happy with the HID driving lights this year..............

Typical British red tape and grey area syndrome then!!!

Do you know what "Nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible c*nt... me.
