Just realised I haven't posted this up yet, so here goes...

Bought this in Feb needing a little work but it's now been on the road for a month or so pretty much sorted and giving good service. In fact I've done over 2k in it already! Including moving and towing a wide variety of other cars  Grin

She's a 24v manual in pretty much original form. Needs a tidy up and a couple of broken swithces replacing, but is all there. Needed a new exhaust as well as a few bits of welding, shocks, brake lines, brakes, drop links and a few other bits and bobs. Big thanks to MantaRay for sorting her out while I was away with work for me.













Plans include sorting out the scabby bits and ultimately a respray. Gonna be staying fairly standard though. Just a boot spoiler and GSi grille and maybe the rest of the kit. Oh, and getting the wheels and bars polished  Grin

OK so its been a while, but the Carlton's been getting some TLC.

First off, while I was working abroad for a couple of months Chris at CR Classics (MantaRay on here) had the car to tidy up the rust, dings etc and give it a quick coat of paint. Not a full resto, but enough to tidy it up...

Other bits and bobs have included looking for some nice wheels. I tried a variety of wheels, but couldn't find anything to suit the shape, size or age of the Diamond (first pic), so opted to keep the originals but with a twist...













Charlies metal polishing services (Leek) did the work. Very happy with the results and especially now I could put the new tyres on!

Further plans are afoot, but it will be along the same theme. Gonna keep it Carlton looking, but with a fresh twist.  Grin

Oh, and its done 17k in the last 10 months so its earning its keep too!!
