Here we go, finally got one .............. and driven it LOL
My third 2.6, the others turned out to be Lemons.
Couple of little niggles, most especially damp start , suspect AFM and will change soon.
Fuel filler pipe leaking, rubber bit where it joins tank
Drivers door, bonnet and drivers seat have been changed since pictures.
Also switches Blue LED'd (Thanks Chris and Day).
Drives beautifully.
Just the bumper and the aircon to sort (and cruise if I can be bothered)

When first started in the morning, unable to rev at all (it ticks over) a slap on the AFM seems to sort it so suspecting damp or corrosion on track. Got a spare so will whack it on and see if it helps.
Once it revs up it runs fine.

Changed the AFM, hard to say if its solved anything but instant consumption is a little better. steady 0.3 from varying between 0.3 and 0.5.
Still seems to hunt a little on first switch on so ICV clean is next job.

If it's anything like mine when I first got it, it's probably corrosion on the tank filler neck Sad

It's the best mud trap I've ever seen on a car at that point Roll Eyes

WOW! That is one of the best ones I've seen. Congratulations on finding a marvellous example of the finest car in the world!

As for the AC - I've made a few posts about it, as has melinx. Happy to share tips, if needed. Mine still ok after 9 months!

Is this what you are looking for ?

http://www.rabtherm.co.uk/rabdirect_bgas/refrigerant_cans.htm

It might be worth finding somewhere that can vacuum test it, that will remove any moisture from the system to prevent the expansion nozzle from freezing up and if it holds a vacuum, thats a pretty good indicator of the state of the seals Wink

I've researched the matter briefly.

http://www.agas.com/pdfs/pdf%20fridge/R413AMSDS.pdf

It appears that it is a blend mixture of isobutane, octafluoropropane and tetrafloroethane. The purpose of the isobutane is to act as a compressor lubricant that is miscible with the mineral oil lubricant used in R12 systems and therefore will lubricate the compressor without the need to flush the system. The other two are refrigerants (non CFC), one of which is R134a and the other is a larger molecule which is presumably there to reduce system pressure as it is a larger molecule so that it is less likely to leak through hoses. Blends often cause problems as the leakage rates are not the same for each component. RS24 is similar but more widely available.

If you have leaking seals, you can rebuild or go for a recon. Compressortech (.com) do an excellent rebuild for £205. You can replace your own seals for about £20 (parts available from USA - you need a shaft seal kit for a Harrison V5) but you will need a set of special tools to do so which are about £30. You will need to flush the system and buy a new accumulator (£40)

The biggest problem will be finding somebody who doesn't use an autocharging station. The reason for all this is that the V5 is one of the only compressors that uses PAG 150 oil. This is quite a viscous  oil compared to the universal oil used in autochargers which will leak out given half a chance

Open to offers, around £250 but negotiable
Very short MOT (end of June)
No tax and needs a new battery.
Oil Leak from rear of engine
small Stonechip on windscreen needs sorting for MOT
Drives Fine and I could tax at cost
Erratic idle when hot but fairly sure this is down to the battery being shot.

Otherwise fine LOL.

I am not using it and seem to have too much on my plate at the moment so would rather it went to a good home.
